Prince of Persia

Based on the video game, which follows an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world.

The Solution

Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara.  Transport from here becomes 4-wheel drive vehicles to discover the sand dunes at Merzouga. Gaze out into the distance from the back of a camel and ride into the outer reaches of the desert.  Enjoy a spectacular sunset over the dunes before dining and then sleeping under the stars in a bivouac camp.

Descend from the Anti-Atlas Mountains into the Draa Valley and Zagora, the last town in this direction before the vast expanse of the Sahara Desert.  Return to Ouarzazate and the Berbere Palace.

At first light, return over the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech for a final night in this vibrant and colourful city.

Follow in the footsteps of the Prince of Persia cast and crew into Morocco and across the Atlas Mountains.  Marvel at the majesty of the Sahara from atop a ship of the desert.

Find a treasure in the souks of Marrakech and enjoy a favourite pastime of haggling with the merchants.  On the next day, visit the Koutoubia Mosque and Bahia Palace where time has stood still.

Oukameiden is one of the movie locations—trade sandshoes for skis and spend time on the snow slopes.

Over the stunning mountains to Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Morocco, and the opulent Berbere Palace Hotel, frequented by the cast during their location shoot. En route visit the fabulous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou.
